Short-term AWARD “150 Jahre Eisenbahnstrecke Weimar – Gera”
150 years ago, on June 29, 1876, the approximately 68 km long Weimar-Gera railway line was opened. It is a partially double-track main line in Thuringia, originally built and operated by the Weimar-Gera Railway Company.
Railway radio amateurs are issuing a special commemorative diploma for the 150th anniversary of the Weimar-Gera railway line, valid from April 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026. Participation: – Special call sign of the EFA DB150WG with S-DOK 150WG. – Club stations of local associations bordering the railway line with the S-DOK 150WG. DK0GER; DK0KTL (OV X20 Gera), DF0JEN (OV X22 Jena), DR4X (OV X25 Hermsdorf) DL0HDF (OV X46 Saale-Holzland) DB0GA (VFDB Z88 Gera) Diploma Requirements: – To earn the diploma, 150 points must be demonstrated. – The following contacts count for each band and mode: each QSO with the above-mentioned DOK (Digital Operator Code) on the railway line counts 5 points each club station of the local chapters counts 10 points each call sign with the S-DOK 150WG counts 25 points CW, SSB, FM, and all digital modes are permitted. QSOs via repeaters are allowed. The diploma will be sent by email as a PDF and is free of charge.
